The new Whole Foods Market in Gowanus, Brooklyn opened its door on Tuesday, December 17th and most likely left every guest in awe. The only organic super market debuted its most progressive store yet, setting the bar incredibly high for what grocery stores can be. Starting with a parking lot bigger than most New Yorkers can imagine, there is more than enough parking (with no meters or time limits!).
Then, you enter the store and it is exactly what you would imagine of a store in Brooklyn; high ceilings, repurposed brick walls (saved from an old building in New Jersey), and exposed piping in the ceiling. Their newest addition, a juice bar appropriately named Juice Etc. awaits you for fresh pressed juice and smoothies while pop-up Ramen/Taco stands join a DIY salad bar offering the perfect option for healthy eats. Up the stairs there is a green house collaboration with Gotham Greens in the works, a beer house, and an outdoor seating area with a beautiful view.
We were all the more excited for the opening of this store because we were finally able to announce our newest formulation, a drink we have had under wraps for the last few months as an exclusive for the Third & Third store. Our Brooklyn Beet Elixir is as trendy as Williamsburg with the addition of cold pressed beet juice. Beets are known for their ability to improve your bodies detoxification functions while providing antioxidant support.
We are one of the many local vendors who created something special for the launch of the new store; from granolas to special hummus flavors, the store is full of exclusive products only available here. But don’t fret. The BK Beet will be launching nationally in a few weeks and will be up on our online store!
What do you think about adding beets to the elixir?
