Peach Turmeric Smoothie Bowl

Peach Turmeric Smoothie Bowl
Guys. It is hot out! Shorts and tanks or even bathing suits are not cutting it these days. I went to the beach over the weekend and, besides being in the ocean, all I wanted was to eat something ice cold to send a chill through me from the inside out. So I went home and blended this up: A frozen Peach Turmeric Smoothie Bowl.

What is a Smoothie Bowl?

Smoothie bowls are a very thick smoothie that you can eat with a spoon. For the last 3 years I have been pretty obsessed with smoothie bowls because:
  1. They have all the benefits of a smoothie, plus eating with a spoon is mentally satiating. You feel like you are eating a meal rather than drinking a drink, which can reduce over-consuming calories later in the day.

  2. Smoothie bowls are blended and topped with nutritious ingredients and are, therefore, a sneaky way to eat those nutritious ingredients while feeling like you're having a frozen treat.

  3. Faux ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everyone can get on board with that.

Ingredients for Bowl   Ingredients for Toppings (optional)
  • 1/2 banana

  1. Add bowl ingredients to blender in order of softness (banana at the bottom, frozen peaches, then the Ginger-Aid).

  2. Blend well using tamper as needed or pausing to stir ingredients toward the blade. This will take about 1-2 minutes to get it nice and smooth.
